There it is, in my room, standing there. Leaning, actually. Leaning to the right, as if trying to be another wonder of the world. I only use it at night, though even then I like to leave it off. It just sits there, all the time.
During the day, it sits jealous, as something much bigger and more powerful does its job perfectly, and for free. This, however, costs money. A lot of money. Oh, but it’s needed! Sometimes at night the glowing light from your monitor is not sufficient enough to read something. Or even to write something.
I wonder how long it has been leaning like that. I can’t remember. Maybe since the beginning? Regardless, it helps. Even if it has a weak leg, it helps. It helps a lot when I need the light. It is there to show me the light. Yes, it costs, but it shows me the light.
It is daytime now, so the lamp is just sitting there, waiting to be touched. Is it perversion? Or is it an invitation to spend more money? No, it is something else. It is simply the need to feel needed. Like most of us.

i really like photos with simple subjects. i think the best part is the really faint texture or pattern on the wall. very subtle.
