“Portrait of Graveyard Macro Flowers.”

Portrait of Graveyard Macro Flowers.

Portrait of Graveyard Macro Flowers.

The dead never sleep,
the dead never stay,
the dead are not alone,
for them you are to pray.

Many look at graveyards,
and think of a sorrowing demise,
they see the end of everything,
a place simply haunted at night.

“Fear everything in graveyards!”,
their voices want to say,
“for it is not a place to hide,
but a place to forever reside.”

People jog here,
and people mourn too,
people relax here,
and dogs wet trees too.

Look here, a small flower,
growing up by the dead,
it is full of life and vitality,
for it also feeds on the dead.

Flowers, plants, and animals too,
everyone is here to live.
You think graveyards make animals quiet?
animals and flowers are quiet in your home too.

Enjoy the view, look at the flower,
resist the urge to be very quiet,
relax, observe, this is part of the view,
like everything else, this takes a cue.

This is a portrait,
so they may want to know,
will you focus on many things,
or solely on what’s below?

Closeup of a leaf – yellow, green, brown, and other shades

Closeup of a leaf - yellow, green, brown, and other shades

This fell outside my door. I tried taking pictures of it in its current spot, though they did not satisfy me. The focus on certain parts, and not everything, kept making me get more happily hyper and enchanted.

Finally, I brought the leaf in and did some shots near the kitchen floor. This one I like the best. I love good macro shots, and my poor camera is doing its best. The middle focus on brown, yellow, some green and their and other shades is very beautiful to me. Looking at this picture tells me I love life and I like this flower. It is resting on top of the fridge now.

Taken September 25th, 2008.

The last flower standing

The last weathering flower standing

There it is, like all the other things. Waiting, living life, experiencing everything around it, and not bragging about it.

The flower says that that everyone judges it by its looks and external qualities. “Is that not a good thing?” I ask. She is quiet. Probably thinking. I get nervous, so I start thinking too. Some time passes, and I keep on thinking. The flower is just there, quiet, simply thinking. And then I realize some thing! I realize the focus is on thinking also and not on the action only! Portrait of a yellow-2-red flower

Portrait of a yellow-2-red flower

A picture of a flower that has parts which change color as they grow, from red to yellow. This picture was taken in the garden on August 25th of this year, 2006, in Anaheim, California.

This flower lies close to the other one shown in “Closeup of stigmas of a flower.” I called this flower a “yellow-2-red flower” as I do not know the name of this flower, and that name is the only way to distinguish it from the other names of other flowers that I can think of at this moment. If you know the name of this flower, please let me know and I’ll give you credit. There were many of these flowers close to each other, and they were all a bit above the ground, stemming out of the regular bushes that you see in the background.

This was taken using a macro-lens. You can see two strings of a spider web near the top right yellow part of the flower, crossing each other in such a way that they can also appear to be the same as the letter “Y.”
