It is waiting for me to do something through it. It keeps listening to different signals from the nearby towers. It is always there to let me know if someone wishes to talk to me. If someone sends me a text message. Or if someone sends me a picture message. Or if someone sends me an e-mail.</p><p>If I forget to tell it to sleep, it sits there quietly, all attentive and bright, until I fall asleep. Only after a few minutes does it stop shining in order to rest also. Its brain keeps functioning all the time, even when it is turned off. It is working all the time, slowly watching its battery run out of life slowly. It looks forward to being recharged, though most of the time it also looks forward to using all the recharged energy too.</p><p>Here it is. Some say it is a distraction. Some say it is powerful. Some say it is useful. Some it is a hype.</p><p>I say it just wants to enjoy the night on its own.<br
