No Parking to See the Sun

No Parking to See the Sun

Looking at the sun is a very interesting thing for me. Sure, it’s one of the stupidest things you can do to go blind or get an awesome headache. I know whenever I look at it even remotely I become dazed and confused. The reason I find it interesting is because when given the chance, I tend to naturally and instantly look at the sun only to realize what I’ve done. The funny thing is, when I’m blinded by it, I don’t blame myself but I always end up blaming looking at it without caution. I usually like wearing sunglasses not to hide from the sun but to protect my eyes in case I look at it. I never even realized I looked at it so much until I started writing about it in this post.

This picture was taken near the highest tip of Mount Diablo in Clayton, California. My first focus was taking picture of the sun, which the camera wouldn’t do to my satisfaction. Then I decided to take a picture of this “No Parking” sign. The sun was behind, and the rest is history. Or the rest is what you see here. The contrast is beautiful. I love a certain kincontrasts, and this

I simply love how even looking at the sun in this picture at full brightness makes me go a bit blind. It could be my laptop’s brightness setting, though. I have to stop and take some rest now. And close my watery eyes for a while.

Do you usually look at the sun or take pics of things against the sun?

“Sky watches Sun and Clouds battle.”

Sky watches Sun and Clouds battle.

Sky watches Sun and Clouds battle.

Get the popcorn and buy a ticket,
for the sky is sitting around,
the greatest battle of the day is here,
between the sun and the clouds.

There is no need for special effects,
this move one has a natural feel,
light and shadows collide brilliantly,
to create the wheel of life and zeal.

Funny, that this may not be mentioned,
on your social networks and in e-mails,
Facebook and MySpace will not hold their breath,
and Digg and Twitter will simply talk about whales.

Come, living creatures,
you can also watch if you want to,
figure out if the sun will come up,
or if the clouds will push it down the view.

This happened when Window 95 came out,
and this happened way before it too,
this happened when apples fell to the ground,
and this happened way before that too.

A big battle is raging on here,
one that affects you all everyday,
the clouds and the sun go at it repeatedly,
like life itself praying on preying on the prey.

You can watch this while you drive,
and die while marveling at the beauty,
you can take pictures to hold on for a while,
and feel like Flickr memories are your duty.

So sit and enjoy, for what you are about to see,
may keep on happening, even after you are gone,
or maybe it will stop, and an outcome will be seen,
in your lifetime, to this battle for the night rages on.

“Light can take away life.”

Light can take away life - by Bes Zain

Light can take away life - by Bes Zain

The Ferrero Rocher chocolate element is probably the most important and favorite chocolate in my life. It makes me happy when I eat it, by adding to the happiness. It is very nice to eat, and unwrapping the chocolate wrapper adds to the fun. The process of opening up the chocolate, in order to eat it, is very short, and that allows me to spend more time eating chocolate instead of just looking at the process in order to glamorize it.

One day, in July of 2009, while eating the chocolate given to me as a gift by my friend Katie, I decided to take some pictures. In the heat, outside in the patio, I put the chocolates in a pattern that you see in the picture. I was making a design, with one layer of chocolate exposed to the sun and the other hidden from it. I knew I had to take the picture quickly, before the awesomely yummy chocolate started melting. That made me think about something.

The light, while so flavorful in the eyes of many, is also slowly taking away our life.

Take my life away,
for you are the glamorizing light,
you are appreciated by the majority,
because of you the majority hides from the night.

The one that started it all,
could have been just a thought,
I prefer shadows to the light,
and I wonder if shadows can be had without light?

Sure the night can exist without light,
I realize with all the might,
darkness and the shadows have more layers,
than probably there ever could be in any light.

Let us seek the light, and be active in the sun“,
whenever I hear that, I plan for the night and a lot of fun,
It is all right, you can think anything without affecting others,
You can keep your light, as long as it does not interfere with my night.

Can things be relative, or is everything absolute?
If we need light at any point in life, does that mean light is the proof?
Can we need light at some points, while wanting the night all the time?
Can we simply be whatever we feel like, being the night and a nightly mime?

The beautiful things in life, can be pushed away with typical things,
the light is not always the answer, nor should it be a usual thing,
life is simply about fun and living it, and then talking a bit about it for the fun,
though talking about life a bit can also help in living a life away from the light and the sun.

The relieved, rusting car nozzle

It had rained a lot that day, and it was still sprinkling in different areas. The rain had not left the area, nor had the excitedness. Here it was: the car wiper water washer nozzle. Such a complicated name for something that that did one thing: provide water to the wiper blades so that the front windshield can be washed and cleaned. The car windshield wiper water nozzle felt energetic with the rain around it, so energetic that it was willing to work twice as hard during the rain also.

It was rusting slowly, rusting from within. The outer cover looked very interesting to others probably, or maybe boring, but the inside was slowly changing, rusting, losing energy slowly because of no relief. Who cleaned and helped the car nozzle rest other than water itself?

The ending fields, the departing sun, the observing child

It was around sunset, in the corners of the unsunk lands of Berkeley in California. No motor cars. No bikes. No cell phones. No technology, other than the fabrics on the bodies and the thoughts in the mind. I could see a father laying down for rest all the way to the left, the mother sitting to the right, and the child standing all the way to the right. Or were they simply a male, female and a child? Was I even right about the genders? I am not sure. The man was looking up straight to the sky. The female in the middle was looking straight while sitting down on the grass.

It was the child that caught my attention. There was nothing special about the child. I did not even see to make sure if it was a short person who was a child from within, or someone who was a child. This child, as I should call this being, stood a bit diagonal to the other male and female, facing an angle from the front that crossed paths as an intersection and an angle with what the female was looking at straight, and with what the male was looking at above him. Maybe the child was a robot. Maybe the child was a zombie. Maybe the child was everything in a being that enchanted and amazed the mind into standing in such a situation and wondering how glorifying such a situation may be. (more…)
